LOCALISATION & TRANSLATION

One of the biggest hurdles for brands going global is making their message land in a new language.

We now live in the world of Google Translate, DeepL and AI. Sure, if you just want someone to understand the basic meaning of your content, you might be able to get away with an AI translation. But if you want to actually impress your audience and protect your brand identity in new markets? You need a human.

I take your existing copy, keep everything you love about it - the message, the tone, the feeling - and make it resonate to an English-speaking audience.

I can also translate all the boring stuff for you (my guilty pleasure) - I’m talking contracts, policies, T&Cs and GDPR documentation.

I work from Italian, French, Spanish and Catalan into English.

Here are a few examples of how I might be able to help:

A cookie with a heart-shaped filling and a small heart-shaped hole in the center, against a yellow background with text that says 'No Nasty Stuff! We're Jammie Enough!'

 slogans

When so few words are doing so much heavy lifting, it’s important they’re right. And if you don’t know both the source and target culture inside out, it’s SO easy to get it wrong.

     Sleeve notes & biographies

As a classically trained musician myself, I know how to talk about music - the terminology, the phrasing and the feeling.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

Whether your copy is highly emotive, punchy and marketing-led or more matter-of-fact and focused on all the technical stuff, I’ll make sure it converts in English.

   MARKETING COPY

I’m talking newsletters, banners, landing pages and press releases that stay true to your vision, just tailored to an English-speaking audience.

Academic & corporate content

Meticulously researched translations that are polished yet natural and clearly comprehensible, for journals, websites and brochures (usually at my per-word rate).

  EDITORIAL CONTENT

You know that ChatGPT just isn’t going to cut it if you want your articles to actually sound like they were written in English to start with.
